An experimental Opera for a very unique multilingual female choir. Based on a 13th century text, the idea is to perform the piece in as many languages as possible at the same time with drone noise background interspersed with live improv punctuation.

An evening of boundary-pushing music in Glasgow brings together Noisy Women, the Sonic Bothy Ensemble, and musicians from the Sonic Bothy Learning Space.

The Learning Space musicians open with original works shaped by curiosity and fearless experimentation. The Sonic Bothy Ensemble follows, presenting a distinctive sonic world through striking, bespoke glass instruments created especially for them, bringing new life to a selection of exciting repertoire. Noisy Women close with powerful, unapologetic energy — an improvising collective creating space for women and non-binary artists audaciously stretching boundaries and championing diversity.

Together, they create an immersive, genre-defying experience celebrating inclusion, experimentation, and creative freedom.

Bettina will be at The Poetry Society’s FREE VERSE book fair on Saturday 25th April.
